Weight Loss Benefits Of Avocados

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

If you can only eat one food on earth, choose the avocado.  It’s not necessarily the best for weight loss, but it is at the same time in moderation.  But in terms of pure content, the avocado is the most complete of any food I’ve ever seen before.  Basically, it has all the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants of a fruit, vegetable, a superfruit in general.  So that definitely works in your favor.

But in addition to that, it is one of the few plant based elements that actually comes with the good fats you need in your diet as well providing that greater balance.  Unfortunately, you do actually need good fats to lose weight, making it understandably more complicated and confusing to say the least.  But avocados obviously provide all of these things you need.  With everything packed in there, unfortunately it is not considered a negative calorie food.

So you do have to count it in there with everything else.  But at the same point in time with the nutritional value already provided, not being a negative calorie food is realistically not a horrible thing.  You don’t want to eat too many with a normal diet that can include other foods of course.  But it’s a fine balance.

Dangerous Weight Loss Ingredients

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

If you are looking for weight loss without sacrificing your health or future weight loss, consider this, we have banned products literally since the early 1900’s for dangerous and otherwise intimidating and unsafe ingredients.  And yet even with all of our innovations, we continue to do so.  Some are longer standing than others, and we now put each ingredient through rigorous tests both to prove their efficacy and moreover to help you to avoid side effects or safety issues.

But some still slip through the cracks.  For starters, watch out for aristolochia fangchi.  We believe that Chinese plants often are the safest, because the Chinese would know right?  Well, ephedrine was also considered to be a “Chinese herb.”  This particular plant causes toxicity in the kidneys and renal failure in Belgium, 100 cases in fact in 2000 and 2001 alone.  For this reason, it has been banned in many countries, but of course you can’t really stop the internet.  This is one of the newest ingredients to hit the dangerous market, but yet people still flock to it to some degree knowing exactly what it is.  A similar ingredient in terms of side effects that ironically doesn’t promote weight loss is yohimbine.
